Nimrod Explorer left Lizard Island on Saturday and headed to the Ribbon Reefs. The first dive was done at Comeran, the second at the famous (for good reason!) and beautiful Cod Hole, and the last dive of the day was completed at Lighthouse Bommie. Although it was overcast, there was no rain and visibility was about 20m at all sites.
On Sunday, Nimrod Explorer did the morning dive at Lighthouse Bommie, the second two dives at Pixie’s Pinnacle and the last two dives at Pixie Gardens. All sites are just teeming with life and color. Dive Instructor Dan commented “Lighthouse Bommie is rocking, the life is amazing.”
On Monday, Captain Oscar Grey took the boat to Dali’s, then Andy’s Postcard, Jaymnwal and ended the trip with a dive at Steve’s Bommie then headed back to Cairns. The current water temperature at the Ribbon Reefs is 26C.
